A collection of unique live performances, all recorded at the Cedar Cultural Center, between 1993 and 2006. The set features individual artists who are the innovators and icons in their respective genres: folks like Doc Watson, Ali Farka Toure, Cesaria Evora, Loudon Wainwright III, Ani DiFranco, etc.
The quality of these recordings is excellent -- most were live two track mixes from the sound board, with a few mixed from digital multitracks. There is one audience "bootleg" recording included to capture a unique sing-along, but even that is of a high quality.
All proceeds from the sales of this CD go to the Cedar, to support their mission of bringing great music from around the world to the Twin Cities.
